Biography

 

Asher was born in Israel on June 12th 1970 in the small town of Migdal Haemek.
He started playing drums at an early age. Seeing that he had immense talent, Asher started his professional studies with private teachers as a teenager.
During these early years he played at night clubs forming his first teenage band.

At the age of 18 he moved to the big city of Tel Aviv and was involved with numerous local groups while establishing himself as one of the most sought after studio players.
In his career Asher has worked with the most famous artists in the Israeli music industry and mastered different styles of music with the biggest Israeli musicians such as rock artists Shalom Hanoch and Yehuda Poliker, middle eastern music artists Sarit Hadad and Shlomi Shabat, as well as with the well-known pop star Rita and many others.

In his 25 years as a professional musician he has recorded more than 1,200 albums.
Over his career Asher was a member of several popular Israeli TV talk show live bands.
He had a consistent presence on Israeli TV with program specials and on soundtracks for commercials and TV shows. Asher has taken part in numerous soundtracks for Israeli films and theatrical plays and his work is very prolific.
 

During the year 2000 his talents were showcased when he specialized in Jazz and Latin music at the New-York Drummer Collective.
 

Asher has been on tour with many popular concert acts throughout his career.
He played on special blues projects with American artists Hiram Bullock, Darryl Jones, Eddie King and Long John Hunter.
In the summer of 2011 Asher worked on the mega-rock stars collaboration concert with Shlomo Artzi and Shalom Hanoch two very popular and successful artists in Israel.
Up until 2015 Asher was working with Eyal Golan, the celebrated King of Pop in Israel and the number one recording artist. They performed together all over the world. Their recent tour included the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Asher is now based out of Los Angeles, California and is involved in the local music industry scene playing and recording with various artists while building a stellar reputation. 

Asher is in the process of recording his own original instrumental CD.

 

Asher recently signed an endorsement deal with Zildjian Cymbals becoming the first Israeli artist to represent this prestigious and most recognized cymbals company worldwide.

Asher is a highly skilled musician with a wide range of experience and versatility in all aspects of music that make him a stand out in both recording and performance projects.
